Midsomer Music Party - Hamptons Estate - In aid of Friends of St Laurence Church, Seale - June 2014

“What a fantastic gig, on a sunny June evening, on the beautiful Hampton Estate. Out of the Shadows took us back in time to those carefree days of the 60’s.....we sang along to all the old favourites, many of which we hadn’t sung for decades, and danced to the bitter end - thank you for a great evening.”

“Great fund-raising event ... It was easy to be up and dancing and the band produced the sounds of the 60’s with such authenticity, it was

easy to be taken back in time.”

“What a way to feel young again! It has been many years since I have been up and dancing to all those old favourites ....great evening, super venue, good food ... thank you!”

The Waterlooville Music Festival - June 2014

“Out of the Shadows were just fantastic - I cannot praise them too highly…”

“The chanting for more at the end said it all I think, and for a while it seemed as if you were not going to be allowed to go home.”

“The variety of music performed hit the spot for the audience and the bits of banter between songs all added to evening's entertainment.”

“…their music is so professional and infectious to all ages”

“The band authentically reproduces the sights and sounds of the classic pop music of the late fifties and early sixties, when pop music, beat, rhythm and blues and rock and roll were all becoming the sounds of the day. Those of us of a certain age are instantly taken back to the days when life was a lot simpler, we were all a lot younger, and all intent on enjoying ourselves as much as we could. The band make us all want to get on the floor and start dancing as we used to all those years ago, and for a few hours at least return to those heady days of our youth.”

"Shadows" night is, by far, the most popular event we hold in our village hall, enjoyed by the thirty-something’s and oldies alike - great music and great fun! “.......best thing we've ever had here...” - lifelong resident. “.......absolutely brilliant...

"I attended an evening of 60’s music and dance staged by Out of the Shadows in St George’s Church, Waterlooville. It was great fun and the band were spot on with their interpretation of the 60’s bands and sounded just like the original artists.  Wow did it take me back!”

Music in the Meadow, Farnham

“Congratulations to you all for a fine entertaining afternoon.”

“I really enjoyed hearing the Band again .... I think it was the best Music in the Meadow afternoon I have been to”

Ruby Wedding Anniversary

“What can I say, it was simply a brilliant performance. Everyone was hoarse the next day and raved about a band that sang songs which they could all remember the words of!  It made the evening for us both and at a family lunch the next day you were the subject of mountains of praise.  Thanks again.”

From the Rotary Club of Bognor Hotham

“Our thanks to "Out of the Shadows" for a great night. Everyone there has been fulsome in their praise and had a wonderful time. We would love to do this again. The chanting for more at the end said it all I think, and for a while it seemed as if you were not going to be allowed to go home. The event also raised funds for Rotary Charities and in particular for Talking News - all of this on top of getting people together and having some terrific fun! The variety of music that you performed hit the spot for the audience and the bits of banter between songs all added to evening's entertainment. I am sure word will spread and the next time we do this it will be an even bigger night.”

From the audience at Hayling Island

“Thank you all for a fantastic evening!  We will definitely be sorting out some suitable dates for your return next year. Far from being  ‘The Last Time' it will be ‘The Third Time’.  Thanks for including the Stones number; I really did appreciate it. Did you all  know that you had five priests whooping it up; together with one Lay Minister plus an assortment of local councillors and the Deputy Mayor and they all enjoyed themselves immensely. The overall feedback was that everyone thought it was an excellent evening and we raised nearly £3,000.  Come back soon!”

From the bride and groom

“Thank you again so much for playing at our wedding in June and for entertaining us all so brilliantly. Your music is so professional and infectious to all ages and to see everybody up on the floor and having such a good time in the evening after a long day was just greatI The floor was never empty. Also, thank you for such a smooth operation in setting up and clearing away, as a marquee in a field can't have been your easiest gig. In the bustle of caterers and hire companies, we hardly knew you were there and we don't think we told you how much we appreciated everything at the time! So many people have said what a happy evening it was and we think so too.”

From the Caterham organiser

“In terms of the night, I thought that Out of the Shadows made what was a good night, amazing. You were so professional with your punctuality in turning up and working round how we wanted to structure the evening, your appearance throughout the evening (even changing clothes mid way) was impeccable and the music was excellent. The quality beat every expectation that I had. You can really see and hear through the music, that the members do this for the love of playing.”

From the Soulby organiser :

Out of the Shadows have entertained for the last four years here in Soulby and we are now eagerly awaiting their  fifth visit! The "Shadows" night is, by far, the most popular  event we hold in our village hall, enjoyed by the thirty somethings and oldies alike - great music and great fun!   ".......best thing we've ever had here..." - lifelong resident.  ".......absolutely brilliant..."
